Romans 10:9
To confess “Jesus is Lord” means He's in control of every area of our lives—Our life belongs to Him and we surrender to Him completely as our Lord. Salvation comes by confessing and believing in the person and the finished work of Jesus Christ. So confession and belief together results in righteousness and salvation. The last statement is so incredible that it can offend anyone who has tried to gain salvation by good works. We shall live for eternity with Him because we have believed and confessed.
