Foreign dignitaries from the United States, Australia, and Japan attended the event alongside local government officials, representatives of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, and other participating agencies.

The commemoration continued in San Jose, Dinagat Islands, where a separate ceremony was held at sea aboard BRP Rajah Lakandula (PS-21). Participants offered a wreath in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the historic naval engagement.

NFEM said its participation reflects the Navy's commitment to preserving the country's maritime history and recognizing the sacrifices of those who defended Philippine waters. The annual event also serves as a reminder of the enduring cooperation among nations in honoring a significant chapter in naval history.
