MARCOS’ NET SATISFACTION FALLS TO -11 IN SEPTEMBER — SWS

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating declined to -11 in September 2026, from -7 in June, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

The survey showed that 35% of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos’ performance, while 46% were dissatisfied and 20% were undecided, resulting in a “poor” net satisfaction rating under SWS’ classification.

The rating fell in Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Metro Manila, but improved in Mindanao. It dropped by 11 points in Balance Luzon to zero, by 10 points in the Visayas to -13, and by three points in Metro Manila to -27. In Mindanao, it rose by 14 points to -21. BookBeach Resorts

Meanwhile, 47% of Filipinos said they had heard or read about Marcos’ July 27, 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA). Social media platforms, including Facebook, X, YouTube and TikTok, were the leading source of information.

Among those aware of the SONA, 26% considered Marcos’ description of the country’s condition believable, while 37% found it unbelievable, giving the speech a net believability score of -11.

The survey was conducted from September 21 to 27 among 1,500 adults nationwide through face-to-face interviews.
