Davao Region cop nabbed for grave threat

DAVAO CITY – The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) arrested a 41-year-old male police personnel assigned to the Regional Personnel Security Unit (RPSU) 11 following a gun-toting incident at Diamond Street, Diho Subdivision, Barangay Cabantian, on June 22, 2026.

Responding to a Central 911 report, operatives tracked down the suspect, who was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested at around 1:45 AM by Police Station 5 Personnel and is currently facing Grave Threat charges under inquest procedures.

DCPO director Colonel Peter Madria said the organization enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of misconduct or lawlessness within its ranks.

Madria emphasized that no member of the Philippine National Police is above the law. 

“We do not tolerate inappropriate behavior from anyone in our organization. Whatever it takes, erring personnel will not be exempted from criminal and administrative liability," Madria said.
