Magsayo is set to face unbeaten former Mexican world boxing champion Rey Vargas the number one contender for his crown.
Vargas, 31 is set to give Magsayo a headache since he sports a spotless record of 35 wins with 22 knockouts.
The Mexican is a former super bantamweight champion.
Magsayo won the crown earlier after beating former American champion Gary Russell, Jr. at Atlantic City, New Jersey last January 23.
Magsayo beat the long-time champion, Russell, via a majority decision.
Earlier, Magsayo was declared as the 2021 Prospect of the Year by the WBC for his string of impressive victories last year.
Magsayo has two successful wins last year, a technical knockout victory against American fighter Pablo Cruz last April and a knockout win against Mexican rival Julio Ceja last August. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
