OCD-RDRRMC 11 deploys Regional RDANA Team to Jose Abad Santos

The Office of Civil Defense XI, through the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council XI (RDRRMC XI), has deployed its Regional Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Team to the Municipality of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, to support ongoing damage and needs assessment operations following the Magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck neighboring Sarangani Province on Monday.

The deployment aims to augment local government efforts in determining the extent of damages and identifying the immediate needs of affected communities to facilitate the timely delivery of appropriate interventions and assistance.

The Regional RDANA Team is composed of representatives from the National Housing Authority XI (NHA XI), Department of Health XI (DOH XI), Department of Public Works and Highways XI (DPWH XI), OCD XI, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Jose Abad Santos, and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (PDRRMOs) of Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental, and Davao del Norte.

Prior to deployment, team members attended a pre-deployment briefing conducted at the OCD-RDRRMC XI Conference Room in Davao City to align assessment objectives, operational procedures, and coordination mechanisms.

The OCD-RDRRMC XI remains committed to ensuring a coordinated, timely, and data-driven response to support affected local government units and communities in the aftermath of the earthquake.
