Muarip joins Eid al-Fitr Congressional Prayer; Strengthens unity across faiths

Davao City Police Office acting director Colonel Mannan Muarip joined the Centralized Eid al-Fitr Congressional Prayer held at Freedom Park, Roxas Avenue, March 21, 2026.

His presence stood as a powerful symbol of solidarity and respect with the Muslim Ummah as they celebrated one of Islam’s most sacred occasions.

Eid al-Fitr, marking the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan, is not only a celebration of faith and gratitude but also a profound expression of unity, compassion, and shared humanity among communities.

By standing alongside the Muslim faithful, Muarip underscored the DCPO’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity, mutual respect, and the strengthening of interfaith harmony in Davao City. His participation highlighted a deeper message—that despite diversity in beliefs and traditions, the people of Davao remain united by common values of peace, cooperation, and brotherhood.

The event further demonstrated how faith can serve as a bridge that connects communities, fostering understanding and reinforcing the spirit of oneness among all Dabawenyos.

Ensuring that this significant religious gathering was conducted safely, the DCPO deployed adequate police personnel to secure the estimated 70,800 attendees. The presence of law enforcement provided a peaceful environment, allowing the Muslim community to observe their prayers with solemnity and without concern. This proactive security effort reflects the DCPO’s steadfast dedication to protecting all sectors of society, especially during important cultural and religious celebrations.

The DCPO reaffirmed its role not only as a law enforcement institution but also as a partner in building a cohesive, inclusive, and harmonious community—where diversity is embraced and unity is strengthened.
