Verse of the Day | March 11, 2026

Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

James 1:19

Takeaway: One of the most common causes of frustration and friction in relationships is that we don’t really listen to each other. Listening is a skill that can be developed.

We’ve spent years learning how to read and write, years learning how to speak. But what about listening?

Tips for improving our listening:

Put the cellphone away.

Smile and look the other person in the eye.

Ask questions to show you are interested.

Try to block out other distractions.

Lord Jesus, teach me how to be a good listener. Let me  be slow to speak and slow to be angry.  Amen (a message from Pastor Deepak)
