DCPO extends financial aid to Hospitalized Personnel

Colonel Mannan Muarip, Acting Chief of the Davao City Police Office personally handed over financial assistance to Police Staff Sergeant Dilangalen, who is currently admitted at Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF) Hospital and is under high-risk medical care.

The amount P111,450  was turned over to the beneficiary. This financial assistance was generously pooled from DCPO personnel under the office’s humanitarian initiative, OPLAN MALASAKIT.

The program is specifically designed to provide immediate support to DCPO personnel and their families who are facing medical emergencies and other critical situations. The assistance aims to help defray hospital bills and other related medical expenses incurred during confinement.

Through the strong leadership of Muarip, the DCPO once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the welfare of its personnel—proving that beyond law enforcement duties, the organization stands as a family that genuinely cares for its own.

The implementation of OPLAN MALASAKIT reflects a culture of compassion, solidarity, and collective responsibility within the DCPO, ensuring that no member is left behind during times of hardship.

Meanwhile, the Regional Medical and Dental Unit 11 (RMDU 11) also extended financial assistance and continuously assisted the personnel and his family by closely monitoring the patient’s condition and providing necessary coordination and medical support. Their involvement further strengthened the collaborative efforts of the organization in ensuring holistic care for its personnel.

This meaningful act underscores the true essence of public service within the ranks of the Philippine National Police—where compassion and unity prevail not only in serving the community but also in taking care of its own members.

The DCPO, through OPLAN MALASAKIT, remains steadfast in its mission to provide timely assistance and genuine concern to all personnel who encounter similar life-threatening and challenging circumstances.
