MANILA – The Office of the Vice President has reached another significant milestone as its Libreng Sakay program has officially served over three million passengers nationwide since it was launched on August 3, 2022—highlighting the program’s sustained commitment to providing free, safe, and reliable transportation to Filipino commuters.

From January to December 2025 alone, OVP Libreng Sakay assisted 1,036,927 passengers across various routes in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including Metro Manila, Naic (Cavite), Cebu, Bacolod, Tacloban, and Davao.

The program currently operates nine (9) buses deployed across the country, strategically positioned to serve high-demand areas.

Beyond its regular daily operations, Libreng Sakay also continues to provide critical transport services during natural disasters, and major transport disruptions, ensuring uninterrupted mobility for the public—especially workers, students, and other vulnerable sectors—during times of heightened need.

As the program surpasses the three-million-passenger mark, the OVP reaffirms its commitment to people-centered initiatives that deliver timely, practical assistance and reflect a responsive and compassionate approach to public service.
