The buy-bust operation was conducted at around 2:40PM on December 29, 2025, after operatives monitored the selling of prohibited pyrotechnic devices in the area. The suspect was identified as Alias Salman, 27 years old, married, a resident of Lao Street, Toril Public Market, Toril, Davao City.
Seized during the operation were assorted illegal firecrackers, including: 3 reams of Leopard King firecrackers; 2 reams of Original Piccolo firecrackers ; another ream of Satu Missiler firecrackers; 3 Star firecrackers ; 3 sticks of Roman Candle, 60 shots; 4 sticks of Roman Candle, 30 shots ;and 3 boxes of sparklers.
All confiscated items were properly marked, documented, and inventoried in accordance with standard police procedures.The case is now being prepared for inquest proceedings for Violation of City Ordinance 060-02 (Davao Firecracker Ban Ordinance) and Republic Act 7183.
