The meeting which was held at Mabini Elem. School Gym, Bangkal, Davao City at around 1:00 PM, focused on fostering community cooperation, raising awareness on embracing the culture of security, and promoting vigilance against possible threats to public safety.
The said activity was participated by more or less 180 Toda Leaders from the following Brgys: Matina Pangi, Talomo, Matina Crossing and Catalunan Grande. They will be part of PS3 Force Multipliers and will serve as “eyes and ears” and “active reporters” of the police against suspicious people in their area and if there will be illegal transactions that they know of that is rampant in their neighborhood
In his message, Talomo station commander Major Genesis Oriel emphasized the need for cooperation of the community transport groups in all endeavors towards peace and security especially that the National and Local Elections is near.
“Our mission is not just law enforcement but also community engagement. A vigilant and informed citizenry is our strongest ally. The TODA SOLUSYON members play a vital role in our communities—not only in transportation but also as eyes and ears on the ground,” he said.
This initiative is part of the DCPO’s wider campaign to engage various sectors of society to strengthen community partnerships in line with the PNP’s mission to serve and protect, especially during critical democratic exercises like the NLE.
Talomo Police Station assured the public of its full commitment to uphold peace and order, and called for collective responsibility among all citizens to help ensure the integrity of the upcoming elections.
