Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a series of power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, July 21 and 22, 2024, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct a series of power interruptions on Sunday and Monday, July 21 and 22, 2024, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.

The first set of switching power interruptions is necessary to facilitate pole relocation works along Ulas viaduct. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 21. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22.

Specifically affected are those from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Boulevard to Ecoland, Bucana, and Monteverde to Villa Abrille and neighboring areas.

The second set of switching power interruptions is necessary to isolate the Don Ramon Substation transformer 3 to facilitate DPWH streetlight removal along Panabo. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 1 hour from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 21.Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on the same day.

Customers in the entire Bunawan proper to Mahayag, Bosque, Lasang, Licanan, Panabo, San Vicente area to Nanyo and Carmen will experience these service disruptions.

Lastly, a 1-hour switching power interruption will be conducted on Monday, July 22 from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.to facilitate the re-energization of Victoria Substation. This will affect customers from Buhangin Lapanday Road, from Samulco to Buhangin overpass, a portion of J.P. Laurel Avenue from El Bajada Hotel to Abreeza Carpark, and Medical School Drive. Also affected are customers from a portion of Brgy. Obrero and Sta. Ana Avenue, a portion of Cabaguio Avenue and Villamor Street, a portion of Circumferential Road, F. Torres Street, a portion of San Pedro Extension, Emilio Jacinto Extension, Sutherland, Quirino Avenue, and NCCC VP Mall.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
