DAVAO CITY—A former high school basketball varsity player of Ateneo de Davao University continues to play big for De La Salle University in the UAAP basketball off-season tournaments.

Lefty shooter Francis Escandor scored 15 points in his team's 80-73 win over the Perpetual Help University Altas in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup 2023 on May 16.

Escandor was hot in the game, scoring five of his nine three-pointers and grabbing five rebounds for his team.

His game-long brilliance earned him the best player of the Game honor.

Escandor recently helped La Salle beat the Adamson Falcons 21-18 to win the coveted UAAP 3x3 crown in the college division.

La Salle reached the finals after beating the National University Bulldogs 21-13 in their semifinal duel.

In a Facebook post, Escandor said he was happy and proud of their win.
