Aside from Petecio, other female competitors competing include Cleo Tesara (48 kg), Aira Villegas (50 kilograms), Irish Magno (52 kg), a silver medalist at the SEA Games and the Tokyo Olympics, and Maricel Dela Torre (54 kg).
The team is accompanied by coaches Don Abnett, Roel Velasco, Rey Galido, and Mitchel Martinez.
The event is anticipated to serve as one of the training grounds for the Filipino pugs in preparation for higher-level competitions in the future, including the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from May 5 to 17, and the World Women's Boxing Championships, which are scheduled to take place in New Delhi, India, from March 15 to 31.
