He said the world-class venue is equipped with the necessary facilities which the athletes and spectators need.
On Friday (Feb. 10), officials from the regional office of Department of Education led by director and lawyer Allan G. Farnazo, who is also the concurrent Schools Division Superintendent of the DepEd Division of Davao del Norte, met Jubahib to discuss the hosting of the regional athletic meet by the province
The proposal was accepted by Jubahib who vows full support for the event.
"We are honored to host this year's DAVRAA Meet and showcase the athletic talent and skills of the young athletes in our region. We are committed to providing a world-class venue and facilities to help ensure this important event’s success of Deped’s sports development program,” Jubahib said in a statement.
The 2023 DAVRAA Meet is expected to attract over 8,000 athletes, coaches, chaperons, and technical officials from different DepEd School Division offices in the region.
Jubahib emphasized the importance of sports in promoting unity and camaraderie among the different SDOs in the region.
"Sports is a universal language that can bring people together and foster friendship and cooperation among different communities. We look forward to welcoming athletes, officials, and visitors from all over the region to Davao del Norte for this exciting event,” he said.
Jubahib said his administration is proud of the athletes from Davao del Norte and committed to support their growth and development. “This event will highlight their talents and provide them with opportunities to interact and compete with athletes from other parts of the region."
The 2023 DAVRAA Meet promises to showcase the region's athletic talent and is a testament to the province of Davao del Norte's commitment to promoting sports and youth development.
