PDEA 11 burns P400K marijuana plants in Davao del Sur

DAVAO CITY—The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 11, in coordination with the local police, burned an estimated P400,000 worth of marijuana plants they uprooted in Sitio Ulo Nikit, Barangay Kimlawis, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.

In coordination with Kiblawan Police and elements of the 2nd Davao Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, PDEA 11 burned 2,000 stalks of marijuana seized in the area.

The PDEA 11 said the marijuana plants were planted in a 5500-square meter area.

PCpt. Ian Marc Polestico, Officer-In-Charge of Kiblawan Police, said they are still looking into the marijuana planter and owner of the lot so that appropriate criminal cases will be filed against them.

Polestico thanked the local community for helping them find the marijuana plantation in the area.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
