BIFF commander, 5 others surrender in Sultan Kudarat

DAVAO CITY- The city government here continuously urged Dabawenyos to be vaccinated during the three-day nationwide "Bayanihan Bakunahan" on November 29 to December 1, 2021.

Dabawenyos, who will get the first dose of the vaccine, must bring their DQR, valid ID, pen, while those getting the second dose should bring their vaccination card. 

Eligible minors for pediatric vaccination must bring their birth or baptismal certificates, valid ID, Barangay Certificate or Special Power of Attorney of guardianship if accompanied by guardians, and medical clearance from a pediatrician if with comorbidities. 

Dr. Josephine Villafuerte, head of the city’s vaccination cluster said all public vaccination sites will be open on the National Vaccination Days, including the sites organized by the private sector from 8 a.m to 3 p.m.

"Walk-in is allowed all over the city. We also have those from the private sector that will be joining us such as Aboitiz, which is opening for its workers, the Davao Association of Colleges and Universities Network, Inc. (DACUN), and the Davao Association of Catholic Schools Inc. (DACs ), and the Department of Education (DepEd)," Villafuerte said.

She added that the Sangguniang Panlungsod Under the Office of the Vice Mayor Baste Duterte will also have mobile vaccination on those days.

Villafuerte said that they already met with the private sector, the district health officers, private hospitals, and with the members of Indigenous People.

Villafuerte said she hopes that through this three-day Bayanihan Bakunahan in partnership with various agencies the city will be able to achieve the target number of population protection or herd immunity of more than 1.2 million.
