In a report from the City Information Office (CIO), Vincent Plarisan, the Officer-in-Charge of the Lingap Para sa Mahirap Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) said that all applications are submitted through the new platform, which opened last week, and will be received by social workers on standby.
Plarisan said those who want to avail of the Lingap assistance can now search for Lingap Para sa Mahirap on Facebook.
"This is a big advantage to our fellow Dabawenyos and more convenient because they can do the transaction in their houses or in the hospitals or anywhere as long as they have complete documents. They can also upload their documents on their cellphones and send this through messenger,” Plarisan said
According to him, this online service is applicable for all types of Lingap assistance applications including hospital bills, funeral bills, dialysis treatment, medical and laboratory procedures, and maintenance medication assistance.
Also included in the services are allotment assistance for prosthetics sensory and visual aids, and subsidies for reconstructive surgery for those with an orofacial cleft.
Dabawenyos are also encouraged to call 233-4961 for any Lingap assistance.
