"Maningkamot ko na maka-access kita og fuel subsidy program para sa atong mga pedicab drivers ug operators. Kini na programa dako ang mahimong tabang luyo sa padayong pagsaka sa presyo sa gasolina,” Evangelista said in a statement.
The mayor said accessing the Pantawid Pasada is his administration’s way of helping the transport sector and also alleviating the public utility operators’ woes on soaring fuel costs.
He said that the list of beneficiaries will be coming from the official list that will be certified by the Municipal Tricycle Franchising Regulatory Board (MTFRB) headed by Vice-Mayor Gabriel Eric Estela.
The Pantawid Pasada is a program wherein an operator of a public utility vehicle will get a fuel subsidy card to avail of fuel at participating petroleum retail outlets or gasoline stations.
Under the Pantawid Pasada Program, each recipient will receive a fuel subsidy card. In 2021, a one-time subsidy of P7,200 per unit was given to operators.
