Troops recovered from the encounter site were an AR15 Rifle, an M14 Rifle and assorted personal belongings, including food supplies.
Meanwhile, a joint effort by the 36th Infantry Battalion and the 3rd Special Forces Battalion led to the successful surrender of a high-ranking communist terrorist leader (CTG) leader identified as Fortunato Suazo Undayon at Barangay Puyat, Carmen, Surigao del Sur.
Undayon also turned in one AK47 Rifle, a Caliber 30 M1 Carbine Rifle, and other war materiel.
