VIDEO: New Bataan NCAA star achieves double-double in Letran Knights 80-77 win over Lyceum on Easter Sunday

DAVAO CITY –New Bataan, Davao de Oro forward/center Jeo Ambohot has once again proved that he is ready to elevate his game to the pros later this year as he achieved a double-double performance in Letran Knight's 80-77 win over Lyceum on Easter Sunday at La Salle Greenhills.

Ambohot, the captain ball of the Knights, scored 13 points,  grabbed 13 boards,  blocked five blocks, and dished out two assists in their win to improve to five wins without any defeat in the ongoing NCAA college basketball wars.

Last March 30, Albohot scored a career-high 20 points to carry the Knights to a 96-67 victory over Arellano in the NCAA Season 97 seniors basketball tournament at La Salle Greenhills.

Ambohot scored most of his points in the second half to his team pull away, where they led by as much as 32 points, 94-62, in the final minute.

The Davaoeno cager is on a mission in the game as he also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists to carry the Knights to its second straight win.

Earlier, Ambohot skips the 2021 PBA draft to help the Knights retain their basketball crown.

The decision of Ambohot to play his final year in a Knights uniform is good news since the 6'7 lanky center is a huge part of the team.

Ambohot's decision to stay will make the frontline roster of the team still formidable despite the absence of Muyang.

The promising Davaoeño center played a superb match for the Knights in their final victory against the San Beda Red Lions in 2019.

Before his remarkable performance in the finals, Ambohot was also playing well in the elimination round of season 95 of the NCAA.

He is also part of the  23 players eyed for the Gilas Pilipinas training pool for the 2023 Fiba World Cup in the Philippines.

Former national team coach Chot Reyes picked Ambohot because he is a versatile big man who can shoot from the outside and play perimeter defense because of his size. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
