Over 100 members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) of Sitio Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City conduct a coastal clean up and a tree planting activity at the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park.
This was held on April 15. The participants aim to help conserve the environment in their own way by collecting trash found in the coastal areas such as the park, which is located near their church. They also planted over 100 mangrove propagules to help protect the coastal areas from the onslaught of heavy waves. The Aboitiz Cleanergy Park is an eight- hectare biodiversity park and a nesting ground of the critically endangered hawksbill sea turtle located in Sitio Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City. The park is a project of Davao Light and Power Co., Inc, an AboitizPower subsidiary and Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. Text and Photo DLPC
