10th Infantry Division Commander Major General Jose Erial M Niembra welcomed Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian during his visit at Camp General Manuel T Yan Senior in Mawab, Davao De Oro on March 9, 2023.
Gatchalian's main agenda was to inspect the structural integrity and capability of 10ID's warehouse in stocking relief goods concerning the recent earthquake that transpired in Davao De Oro province.
He also spearheaded a meeting between senior officers of the Agila Division and the local chief executives of the Provincial Government of Davao De Oro headed by Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga and Congressman Ruwel Peter Gonzaga on matters of maximizing the logistical operations and disaster preparedness of the agency.
Niembra welcomed the initiatives of DSWD as this will capacitate the command's campaign in giving quick assistance to disaster-affected residents.
