Col. Lachica Hails Team as He Turns Over Command of AFP Security and Protection Group

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Colonel Raymund Dante Lachica officially concluded his successful tenure as Group Commander of the AFP Security and Protection Group (ASPG), relinquishing his duties to Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Israel Eleosida during a formal Change of Command Ceremony.

 Lachica, in his address, highlighted the ASPG’s unwavering dedication to its critical mission: securing and protecting national leaders, including Vice President Sara Z. Duterte and her family, as well as other high-ranking officials and VIPs.

"We have successfully completed our mission," stated Lachica, attributing the unit's success to the courage, discipline, professionalism, and sacrifices of every officer, NCO, enlisted personnel, and staff member. "I leave with immense pride in our collective achievements and the legacy of honor, integrity, and excellence we have established."

Lachica specifically acknowledged his successor, LTC Eleosida, who has been a part of the ASPG team since its inception. He expressed full confidence in LTC Eleosida’s capability to lead the unit to even greater heights.

The outgoing commander expressed his deepest gratitude to God, his family, and the entire ASPG team for their unwavering support. He reaffirmed his commitment to service to the country and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, even as he moves on to his next assignment.

The ASPG continues to stand as a trusted and dependable protector of the nation’s leadership, a testament to the hard work and dedication fostered during  Lachica’s command.
